Exploring Public Perceptions and Ethical Concerns Regarding Neurotechnology
Neurotechnology, which encompasses a range of devices and techniques designed to interact with and enhance the brain, has garnered significant attention in recent years. The transformative potential of these technologies spans various fields, including healthcare, education, wellness, and cognitive enhancement. However, their use raises important ethical, privacy, and social concerns. This paper examines public perceptions of neurotechnology, its applications, and its ethical challenges based on two polls. The first poll assessed general awareness and acceptance of neurotechnology, focusing on its use in healthcare, education, and wellness. The second poll addressed specific ethical issues, such as cognitive enhancement, memory manipulation, and privacy concerns.
