Evaluation of the celestial bodies influence on gravity field

Influence of the celestial bodies on gravity field is analysed in this article. It is necessary to take into account this influence while making precise geodetic, gravimetric and astronomical measurements, defining sites coordinates of the Earth’s gravity field parameters and geodynamic investigations. The biggest influence on gravity field has the nearest celestial bodies – the Moon and the Sun. By using tide potential, new formulas have been derived for evaluation of the mentioned influence. The effects of the Moon and Sun to gravity, deflection of the vertical and height differences are evaluated. The influence results to the whole Earth and to the territory of Lithuania are presented.
